Bio
I graduated from UC Berkley with high distinction in 1993 and received my MD from UCSD Medical School in 1997, graduating in the top third of my class. After finishing residency at Santa Monica Hospital in 2000, I started here in Santa Cruz, mainly practicing primary care and hospital medicine, but also working in urgent care, participating in practice administration and management, and teaching as clinical faculty for Stanford Medical School and the Dominican Hospital Family Medicine Residency.

Philosophy of Care
I have always been focused on primary care and continuity, practicing the breadth or medical care from birth to end of life in the community that I live in. Looking back over an estimated 80,000 patient visit, I have enjoyed getting to know my patients and sharing in their life's triumphs and struggles. With years of empathy and experience I am still energized to deliver quality medicine in the Santa Cruz Community
